Saturday, at SUPERGirls SHINE Foundation’s STEM Symposium, Super Power Soap guided high school students to make symbolic soap. (SGSF has a 100% graduation rate of girls in their program. Incredible!)
I told my career pivot story (from insurance risk control consultant to corporate web developer) and the strengths I leaned on to overcome inevitable failures on the way to pursuing my career goal.
Then, they began crafting symbolic soap bars representing their own strengths like “persistence,” “faith,” and “courage.”
I was impressed by their real life examples of resilience. These students know what it takes to lead!
I’m thankful to create space for creativity, reflection, and inclusion – through soapmaking!
