I’m relaunching my soap line! It only makes sense to start local. I went on a Houston ingredient hunt. My goal? Make my very first uniquely Texan batch.
But before I start, I have a prayer ritual.
It’s inspired by St. Florian. The patron saint of both soapmakers and firefighters (because historically, soapmaking meant huge vats over open flames).
Two years ago, I created prayer cards in his honor. I had just survived my second round of #HyperemesisGravidarum and felt so far away from the powerful person I thought of myself as. These prayers center me and I hope you too..
Because when you’re making something that brings people together (whether it’s soap, a product, or a team) you need more than materials.
You need intention.
