“I want to be up there next year.” At last year’s Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetics Guild Conference, I sat in the audience during a demo on layers inspired to share my knowledge too. And share my passion for this craft among my soapmaking peers.
When I got the email that I’d been selected to present my Hot Process Soapmaking demonstration, I was thrilled. And then, I was nervous. Like wake-up-at-3am rehearsing nervous lol.
But the reason I could stand there and deliver with joy?
All of you.
Everyone who’s ever taken a class with me in Houston.
Everyone who’s found me on YouTube at Super Power Soap.
Everyone who booked a workshop and asked questions, and shared the story behind the soap they made.
As I walked through the steps of hot process soapmaking on that stage, I remembered something powerful:
✨ Enthusiasm is contagious! I got got people on board to try something new.
✨ What’s normal to you might be magic to someone else.
✨ Let people help. You don’t have to do it alone.
