Throwback to the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetics Guild 2024 conference. My first trip away post-partum. My first year attending. I was solo! I remember circling Venessa Phipps’ (@deganyaaromatics) presentation on frankincense on my printed schedule. I was blown away!
She broke down the different varieties and compounds in one of my favorite essential oils. And delivered it as if she was talking with each person 1:1. It was a masterclass in presenting! And, it like many other sessions inspired me to speak at HSCG’s 2025 event back in May. I’m so glad to call her a friend and colleague!
Frankincense is not always easy to acquire but so worth it! I bring frankincense to all of my soapmaking workshops because it pairs well with the herbal and floral scents or stands strong on its own. Like you! When you’re leading a team or working as an individual contributor. 🙂
