When middle school girls mix soap like scientists, they see STEM differently.

At Girl Start’s @girlstart STEM conference last fall, I guided three groups of girls through soapmaking experiments. We tested water’s surface tension, added soap, and watched the change happen in real time. They weren’t passive learners. They were scientists in action!

That day reaffirmed something I bring into every workshop: learning sticks when it is sensory, hands-on, and story-driven. Whether you are a 12-year-old experimenting with bubbles (surface tension) or a professional team re-centering goals, creativity is the spark that turns information into transformation.

Where could your team benefit from experiencing an idea instead of just hearing about it?
