🇨🇦 I fumbled through words, but I didn’t fumble through the process!
In 2022 I was standing in a Canadian woodworking shop (@les_affutes_mtl), listening to instructions I couldn’t understand.
The class was in #Quebecois.
I don’t even speak #French.
After soaping in Ghana learning ins and outs of acids and alternative bases, then twice learning the art of perfumery in France, this workshop in Montreal was my next international soap adventure.
I measured, stirred, poured. I felt the rhythm and the transformation that makes soapmaking what it is. And I realized my passion doesn’t need translation.
Passion is deeper than vocabulary.
In my workshops, people discover the same thing: their stories, their values, and their creativity often show up in ways that don’t require perfect language. Just presence.
