I’m often asked about the differences between using fragrance oils (FOs) and essential oils (EOs). Recently, I opted for a fragrance oil for a strawberry-scented bar, and here’s why this decision is significant:

Understanding the Options:

-Innovation: Sometimes, specific scents, like strawberry, simply don’t have a corresponding essential oil.

-Versatility: Fragrance oils can offer a wider variety of consistent scents. This means, you can plan accordingly.

-Customer Preference: If you sell soap, your customer might appreciate a fragrance blend that evokes certain memories.

As a Soapmaking Teacher and Industry Professional:

-Educate, Don’t Judge: I always emphasize the importance of understanding the pros and cons of FOs vs. EOs in my classes.

-Respect Individual Choices: While I prefer EOs for my soaps, I firmly believe in respecting every maker’s choice and teach how to use both.

Ultimately, it’s about what fits your brand and delights your customers. So, do what works for you! Enjoy creating that beautifully fragrant strawberry-scented soap! ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿงผ
